Confused about LinkedIn – Try this!
LinkedIn is a powerful, amazing career management and job search tool. It has been a game changer for many people in their efforts to understand the market, connect with great people and find new jobs. If I had one complaint about it, as cool as it is, LinkedIn is not very intuitive. People know that they should use it, but are really at a loss for how to get the most out of this great resource.
The best thing to do is to invest in some classes, but not everyone has the budget for that, plus LinkedIn changes ALL THE TIME! You are in luck! There is a pretty easy fix to this dilemma.
FIGURING IT ALL OUT:
The good news - LinkedIn has an amazing help section.
The bad news – very few people know where to find it.
The help center is sneakily located in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Just drop down the menu under the thumb nail sketch of your picture.
Here is a screenshot:
WHAT’S IN THE HELP CENTER?
The great thing about the help center is that it is really well organized and has lots of wonderful “how-to” resources like a video on getting started on LinkedIn, information about how to build your profile, how to grow your network, and lots of other great topics. You can also simply ask LinkedIn your question in the “How Can We Help You” section and all kinds of results will be returned.

BUT THERE’S MORE:
If you click on the link for the topic: Job Searching on LinkedIn – Overview - How can LinkedIn help me find and land the right job? You will see another option on the right that offers a link to upcoming FREE webinars offered by LinkedIn.
Here’s a screenshot.
While it is true that most things in life are not free, there is an exception to the rule on LinkedIn. With a few simple clicks, you have a host of free learning resources at your fingertips that will help you through the maze of learning to use this amazing social media platform to manage your career.
